You do not need to be a Freeride Pro or an active member of the Austrian Ski National Team. However, the better you ski the easier your progression will be in the sport. A level three skier accordingly to french standards or basically being able to do solid parallel turns on red and black runs and a reasonable off-piste experience is definitely a great advantage. If you haven’t ever skied before, please sign up for an skiers Entry Level course in order to learn the basics of skiing before getting into Speed Riding. Please let us know and we’d be happy to put you in touch with experienced instructors who’ll be able to Fast-Track this stage.
Yes you can, however the experience and control is much better with skis. Please note that the Entry Level course (first 4 – 5 days) MUST BE done on skis.
No canopy flying experience or license (Paragliding, Skydiving, Hang Gliding) is required. You will learn to fly on larger and slower wings, allowing you to progress with your flying skills in a safe and very controlled manner. Our training areas always feature hugely oversized landing areas.

There is a number applicable insurance packages available through the FFVL (French Paragliding Association) and the independent British Action Sports insurance broker DOGTAG.COM. Prices for relevant packages start from €35/year for the annual FFVL student 3rd party cover.
